Here are some new dates for the 2009-2010 Awana Year:
April 13: Celebration Games - games with balloons.
April 20: Double Night - earn double Awana dollars for the Awana Carnival (see below). Also, bring double dues.
April 27: Last Regular Night of Awana - bring double dues. Weather permitting, we will play games outside. If the weather is a bit cool, bring a sweatshirt or jacket.
Mark your calendars for every Tuesday, but the Awana Carnival is on THURSDAY, May 6, 2010.
Awana Carnival Details:
- On Thursday, May 6, 2010, the gym will be transformed into a huge carnival.
- We have a schedule where most of the kids are in the carnival area, but some are having a snack (hotdogs, chips, carrots, drink).
- The Awana dollars that the kids have earned between March 23 and April 27 will be used to pay to play the games. The Awana dollars that are earned will be handed out on that night.
- One Awana dollar for each section completed.
- One Awana dollar for each time you bring dues.
- Five Awana dollars for bringing a friend. The friend gets five Awana dollars too.
- Ten Awana dollars for completing your book sometime this Awana year.
- Tickets are awarded at each game and the tickets can be used to get a prize at the prize table.
- We encourage clubbers to bring a friend to a regular Awana BEFORE the carnival. The Awana carnival is a reward to the clubbers that have particapated in Awana through the year.
We need parents to help with the Awana Carnival. We need help with set/up, take down, running a carnival game, serving food and the prize table. See this flyer for more information.
For the Sparks and Truth and Training clubbers, we have a monthly flyer that gives additional information about upcoming events.
Some of the old flyers from this year and last year are still available. |
